Now Accepting Applications for the IFO Equity Caucus Coordinator Position

As a result of this spring’s IFO Delegate Assembly resolution and subsequent change to the IFO Operating Procedures, three equity caucuses (faculty of color, LGBTQ+ faculty and women faculty) will be organized this coming academic year on each university campus. Each equity caucus will assemble and select a representative to their Faculty Association’s local governing body as well as a representative to their respective statewide IFO equity committee. Based on the principle of self-determination, these caucuses will establish their own internal processes and identify issues of concern to their constituency.

The IFO Board authorized for 2018-2019 academic year 3 credits release time per semester for a faculty member to serve as Equity Caucus Coordinator to facilitate the creation and development of the campus-based equity caucuses.

Selection of the Equity Caucus Coordinator, as well as plans for implementation of the campus-based equity caucuses, will occur in a joint meeting of the three statewide equity caucuses, at the IFO office in Saint Paul on June 26, 2018 (10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.). All faculty who identify as faculty of color, LGBTQ+ faculty or women faculty are welcome to attend.

We are now accepting applications for the new Equity Caucus Coordinator position. The Equity Caucus Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating the formation of campus equity caucuses at each campus as well as identifying leaders on each campus to sustain the caucuses. This person will also work closely with IFO leadership and members to promote the caucuses and communicate all progress to the Board.
