IFO Hosts Informational Picket in Support of Hamline Univ Adjunct Faculty Union

Adjunct faculty at private colleges in the Twin Cities joined with SEIU and accomplished their first successful union drive at Hamline University. Hamline’s initial contract expired at the end of August 2018, and so far, 20 negotiating sessions have failed to produce any progress toward a second contract for Hamline’s adjunct faculty. The IFO believes we need to link arms toward a more just, more fair, set of working conditions for the benefit of Hamline's adjunct faculty union members, the students they teach, and the future of higher education.More information about the contract dispute can be found here. 

The group will gather on the corner of Snelling and Hewitt Ave. in Saint Paul to picket on the sidewalks of Hamline University. We will have signs to carry and handouts for students, staff, and the public asking them to contact the administration in support of a fair contract settlement for Hamline University adjunct faculty. 

Please join us this Thursday in solidarity with our adjunct colleagues at Hamline University.
