Brent Jeffers, professor at Southwest Minnesota State University, has been re-elected to serve a 2-year term as IFO President. Jeffers received 98% of the vote. The current term he is serving as President will conclude on June 30, 2020. The term for which he was just elected will begin on July 1, 2020, and will conclude on June 30, 2022. The IFO has a two-term limit for the position of president.
Also, the constitutional amendment proposed by the IFO Board has passed. This will provide flexibility during an extraordinary circumstance for when the IFO may hold the biennial Delegate Assembly. Currently, our 2020 Delegate Assembly is scheduled for Oct. 30-31, 2020. However, with the passage of this amendment, we may reschedule into 2021 if it is not safe to gather at that time.
