We are excited to announce the selection of Michael Sharp as the Contingent Appointments Committee Organizer.
Michael Sharp currently serves as an adjunct professor at St. Cloud State University where he teaches courses on Race and Human Relations and Non-Oppressive Relationships. During his 15 plus years in academic advising at the university, he also held multiple leadership positions within MSUAASF (Administrative and Service Faculty). Michael has been on the Minnesota Supreme Court’s roster of certified neutrals for over twenty years and has twice attended the National Conference of the Center for Collective Bargaining in Higher Education in NYC. Michael is excited to learn more from other contingent faculty working at Minnesota State universities and to learn how our diverse needs might best be represented and served by the IFO.
The Contingent Appointments Committee received a number of applications for the CAC Organizer Position and thanks each applicant for their interest. It is clear by the feedback that faculty with contingent appointments understand the importance of their voice in the IFO and within our system.
If you wish to get involved in organizing and empowering faculty with contingent appointments please contact Michael Sharp at mdsharp@stcloudstate.edu.
