This is a friendly reminder that currently, three IFO equity committees have nominations open for IFO awards to be presented at the 2018 Delegate Assembly. The deadline for nominations is January 26. JAMES ERIC CHALGREN AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE ADVANCEMENT OF LGBTQ+ ISSUES
The IFO LGBTQ+ Issues Committee elected to name the Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Advancement of LGBTQ+ issues to honor the memory and service of James Eric Chalgren (1951-2000), who as a graduate student in the Counseling and Student Personnel Program founded the LGBT Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato in 1977, one of the first university centers in the nation to serve LGBTQ+ students, staff, and faculty.

OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO WOMEN’S ADVANCEMENT
The Feminist Issues Committee (FIC) invites you to recognize and reward a colleague who has demonstrated exemplary service towards women’s advancement within Minnesota State institutions by submitting a nomination form for the IFO’s 2018 Delegate Assembly Award for Outstanding Contributions to Women’s Advancement in Minnesota State by an IFO member.

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE BY A WOMAN IFO MEMBER
The Feminist Issues Committee will honor a woman IFO member who has made important contributions to the IFO through exemplary service in leadership capacities or as an advocate within the organization on issues impacting women faculty. The committee looks to recognize significant service by women on committees and in leadership positions on the state or local level.
