Twenty-eight members of the IFO Faculty of Color caucus met at the IFO Office in St. Paul to discuss members’ primary concerns as Minnesota State University faculty of color and split into breakout groups to consider how to address these concerns, including action at the local and statewide union levels. Main areas of discussion included improvement to workplace environment, recruitment/evaluation/retention issues, union readiness/representation issues, and FoCC community support. The group expressed strong interest in meeting regularly in the future to organize how to become more involved and intentionally engage union members.
