Chernega elected to second term as IFO President

Jenna Chernega has been elected to a second term as IFO president. 

 
 

President Chernega previously served as the Faculty Association President at Winona State University, IFO Academic Affairs Coordinator, and Co-Chair of the IFO Government Relations Committee. Jenna has been a faculty member in the sociology department at Winona State since 2007. In addition to representing faculty on numerous committees and searches, she has held multiple leadership positions, including IFO VP, WSUFA VP, WSUFA Faculty Senator, and Department Chair. Jenna earned a BA in Sociology and Communications from Concordia College, Moorhead, and her MA and Ph.D. in Sociology from Loyola University, Chicago. 

Jenna's term will begin on July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2026. This will be her second term as IFO president. The IFO constitution limits presidents to serving two terms. 

Jenna received 875 of the 903 votes cast for a total of 97%.
