The General Delegate Assembly of the Inter Faculty Organization of the Minnesota State Universities is held during even-numbered years. The 2016 Delegate Assembly will be held on April 1 & 2 at the Radisson Hotel in Roseville, MN.

Each FA President is entitled to appoint up to five delegates and five alternates, and in addition, one delegate and one alternate for each 15 IFO members on the campus.

Why go to DA?

Delegates shape the direction of the union for the next two years, by establishing internal policy mandates; setting budget priorities; and adopting external goals for desired academic affairs policies, contract negotiations, and legislative changes that will benefit faculty and students. By attending the DA, you can provide input in this process and be heard on matters of importance to you. Once at the DA, you will have unique opportunities to network with colleagues across all 7 state universities and to become informed about union activities and benefits. Informational and social events at DA often include an IFO Presidential candidates forum, a reception for delegates of color, and other presentations of interest to faculty.

In addition, two representatives from TIAA-CREF will be on hand from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on both Friday and Saturday, offering complimentary one-on-one consultations to answer your questions about retirement. These consultations are a benefit to IFO members attending Delegate Assembly, through our partnership with TIAA-CREF.
